Owned and operated by Timothy Stout, the Garden is a hybridizing and cottage show garden growing unique hybrid daylilies. This working garden includes the hybrid creations of both Tim Stout and William Marchant.
Tim's Story
Timothy Stout is the Owner, Hybridizer, Laborer, & Chief Weed Puller at Flowertown Daylily Garden. Tim studied Ornamental Horticulture at Delaware Valley College, specializing in floriculture and plant tissue culture. Following his education, he grew orchids professionally for 10 years at Duke Farms and Waldor Orchids. He then spent 25+ years in Forestry Biotechnology. Tim has operated the working daylily garden since 2017.
In the fall and winter of 2023, Tim relocated the hybridizing program of William Marchant (Druid City Daylily Garden) from Atlanta, GA to Summerville, SC. We are thrilled to be growing thousands of un-bloomed and first-bloom Marchant seedlings, and hundreds of select future introductions, as well as Tim’s full offerings. Our future is bright and the best is yet to come as Flowertown Daylily Garden introduces the truly unique creations of Tim Stout and William Marchant.
